Folklore

A plant of deep magic and mystery, Wormwood has long been connected to spirits and the unseen. It is associated with Persephone, the queen of the underworld, and Lilith, the dark feminine archetype of independence and hidden knowledge. Used in ancient rites for summoning visions, it was a key ingredient in absinthe, known as the "Green Fairy" for its supposed mind-expanding properties. In folklore, it was believed to drive away harmful influences and was used in protective charms against malevolent forces.
