Organically grown Sagebrush - Artemisia Tridentata in a 9cm pot..         A woody, evergreen shrub growing up to 3 m (10 ft) with silvery-gray, aromatic foliage and small, yellowish flowers blooming from late summer to early autumn. Commonly found in arid and semi-arid regions, particularly in the western United States. 

 

Uses

Traditionally used by Indigenous peoples for medicinal purposes, including as a remedy for colds and headaches. In folklore, sagebrush is associated with purification and protection. The plant's aromatic properties have also been utilized in ceremonial practices for centuries.

A sacred plant of purification and protection, Sagebrush is deeply tied to the traditions of Indigenous North American cultures, where it is used in smudging and cleansing rituals. It is associated with Artemis, the Greek goddess of the wild and the moon, as well as with spirits of wisdom and guidance. In folklore, it was believed to ward off evil spirits and promote prophetic dreams.

Growing Information

Thrives in well-drained, sandy or loamy soils in full sun. Highly drought tolerant once established, making it suitable for xeriscaping (drought tolerant landscaping) and dry gardens.. Space plants approximately 1.5 m (5 ft) apart to accommodate their mature size.
