Sweet Wormwood is a tall, graceful annual with finely divided leaves and a fresh, camphorous scent. Native to Asia and now grown worldwide, it is best known as the source of artemisinin, a compound discovered for its potent antimalarial properties. Traditionally valued as a cleansing, cooling herb, Sweet Wormwood supports balance and vitality, especially during seasonal change.

Uses

Sweet Wormwood can be used as a herbal tea or incense. Its leaves have a fresh, green bitterness that supports digestion and general wellbeing. Burned as incense, it clears and refreshes spaces, helping to restore focus and calm.

Directions for use

For tea, steep ¼–½ teaspoon of dried Sweet Wormwood in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes. For incense, burn small amounts on a charcoal disc or add to purifying blends.

Ingredients

Sweet Wormwood (Artemisia annua)
