Folklore

Vervain has been revered since antiquity as a plant of peace, sacred order and right relationship. In European folklore, it was gathered with care and respect, often at liminal times and used in rites of blessing and reconciliation. The Druids were said to prize Vervain as a sacred herb, and it later found a place in Christian lore as a plant associated with healing and sanctification. Vervain was believed to calm conflict, soothe discord and restore harmony between people, places and the unseen world. Its reputation was not built on drama, but on trust, a plant called upon when balance is needed to be restored rather than power imposed.
